Blue Schools
Our school is adding a new one to the projects it carries out to raise environmental awareness. Our school has finalized the project plan for the Blue Schools Project, which aims to draw attention to ocean and marine pollution and protect the marine ecosystem, introduce the Blue Economy to school education and support students to build a sustainable future in coastal areas and islands. The project will start in May 2024 and will last 2 years. During the project, attention will be drawn to marine pollution with different activities.

JUSTIICATION OF THE PROJECT |
We are preparing a project on getting rid of seas and oceans from plastic pollution, protecting drinking water resources and saving water. This project aims to provide solutions for sustainable water use and protection of natural habitats. | ||
SUMMARFY OF THE PROJECT |
Source of Pollution: Disposal of plastic waste into seas and oceans seriously threatens natural life. Plastic pollution negatively aff ects underwater life and causes the death of marine creatures. Plastic pollution in the sea spreads rapidly and has profound eff ects on the ecosystem. Due to this pollution, the ecosystem is deteriorated and economic losses occur. With the project, studies will be carried out to reduce marine pollution and the people around them, starting from students, will be sensitized on this issue. |

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT |
OBJECTIVES: 1.Reducing Sea and Ocean Pollution: Developing and implementing eff ective strategies to prevent or reduce sea and ocean pollution. 2.Protection of Ecosystems: To prevent damage to marine and ocean ecosystems and to protect biodiversity. 3.Improving Human Health and Welfare: To reduce or eliminate the adverse eff ects of marine pollution on human health and well-being. 4.Preventing Microplastic Pollution: To stop the spread of microplastics into the seas and oceans and to minimize the eff ects of this pollution. 5.Raising Community Awareness: To raise awareness in society about marine pollution and to organize awareness-raising activities. GOALS: 1.Execution of Cleaning and Recycling Projects: Implementation of projects to clean sea shores, collect waste and support recycling processes. 2.Reducing Plastic Use and Promoting Alternative Materials: Organizing campaigns to change consumer habits to reduce plastic use and encouraging the use of alternative materials. 3.Education and Awareness Raising: To organize training programs and raise awareness to raise awareness of the public and stakeholders about marine pollution. 4.Water Saving It is aimed to create conscious water use and saving habits.
